The Big Six is the
Team to out gun, to out perform in the air that most squads are unable to
compete with. The reason for this, is the leadership core with the training that
every member receives is totally unmatched by any organization in AOA. Quotes from members:
Why I joined Jasta 6: Well honestly it was because I was invited. I thought it was neat for a noob like me to be invited to be part of a squadron even though I really didn’t know what it was about. As the weeks passed I realized that not only did I get invited to be part of the community but that I got invited to be a member of the oldest and best established squadron in AOA. Without really realizing it, I was being trained, and trained by some of the best in the game. The J6 members were patient, open and giving with their advice leaving it up to me to adopt or reject their help (and I didn’t always accept it right away) allowing me to learn at my own pace. As I got a bit better, I realized that their advice was truly top notch and if I want to get better, the best way is to watch these pilots, listen to their advice and practice their techniques. I’m no longer that new but I still have a lot to learn and J6’s ACES have been encouraging, patient and generous with their time in helping me develop. They make me WANT to get better and feel pretty darn good about the progress I have made. Their collective experience and mutual support is shared without prejudice in a spirit benefiting all members. J6 itself is a supportive community where we share a lot of laughs, and compare notes from around the world which is enlightening, educational, interesting and fun. Had I not been recruited by J6 it’s likely that I would not have continued in AOA at all let alone found it a place I look forward to going as often as I can. Spandauballet
I was asked to join Jasta 6 before I knew what the game was about. I joined because it brought me back in touch with friends that I flew with in previous games. Most of the squads that I knew lacked the leadership and team motivated thinking that is needed to make a squad stand the test of time. With 13 years of flight simulator games experience I have seen countless squads that have fallen after less than one month. This is the first squad that I have been a part of that that trains you and makes sure that you are welcomed as a member of the community and strives to makes sure that you have fun. We work hard to fallow the rank structure and maintain discipline and proper behavior so others see that we are not just a bunch of people trying to say we are a family. With these practices and guidelines it insures that you get the most out the game while building lasting friendships. This is the bases of a strong squad that will be the leader and roll model that all other squads will try to replicate; Unbeatable, reliable, dependable and honorable. I am glad that I joined Jasta 6, these are great people that I am associating with. Coldstares Jasta 6- Gen COWR Henchman
I am fortunate to be a member of the BEST Squadron in any of the flight Sims. A group of women and men who are challenging and deadly at any time, yet helpful with suggestions that make us all more competitive. J6 has given me the tools and confidence to fly any game with anyone knowing I can compete with the best of them. I was always afraid of multiplayer games for not having the skills needed, but J6 has changed all of that. I am one of the best and you can be also. Oh and the new chow page in the J6 forum has given me some good recipes to try. Thanks J6. ~S~Manqual
The biggest reason for me to hook up with Jasta 6 was because I could see how well most all the pilots flew, and how orginized it was as a structure. Very well disciplined, me being the military I could see it, because its drilled in your brain. Respected and feared by most of any other squardons, specially if GGB or MW or twobitmissy, and I could go on and on. I wanted to have what they had. You know how you get a taste of something and its so good and you cant get enough,?....well I wanted it all the time. Just like a sweet tooth. Roger? HolyCross
When I first saw the tag lines of the other players I wondered what they meant, after playing for a while I found that these were the people who tried hard and eventually I found myself having a want to be part of it and then after recruitment felt a sense of ownership and responsibility to the group. First a fish in a small pond and then a small fish in a big pond, makes you try harder. cliffh
